The good ol days of scouting in the mid sixties and early seventies. I was inducted in the Brotherhood in 1969 at Wallowa Lake while serving on staff. In 1970 I became brotherhood member and in 1973 was honored to become a Vigil Honor member. I served my fellow arrowmen as Lodge Vice Chief of Activities for two years in the early seventies. I have many fond memories of the Ordeals at Wallowa and at Columbia Park. Order of the Arrow has always been dear to my heart and I think of it often. If I can be of help let me know.

I still recall my active scouting days in the early '60's. Worked on the Wallowa staff as Archery Instructor, got to Brotherhood in OA, and got most of my merit badges for Eagle ('63) thanks to the camp. Sorry I don't see any familiar names in the guestbook, but indeed it has been a long time.

Thanks for all of the hard work on the website. I had a chance to see some names I havn't seen in a while and I am very glad to see the Lodge doing well. I hope to one day move back to Eastern Oregon and become more active in OA. Best wishes and take care! Chris Demianew Vigil Member

Thanks for all your hard work preparing this web site.
I was inducted into Lodge 336 in 1967 at Camp Wallowa. I always enjoyed my time in Scouting in the Tri Cities from 1964 to 1969, attending Camp Wallowa in the summers and working on Staff at the 1969 and 1973 National Jamborees. I was the first Eagle of Troop 179 sponsored by the Methodist Church in Kennewick and remember all the hard work by Walt Hughes, Harvey Keene and Gale Akers as leaders in those days.
I have worked the last 24 years abroad and, unfortunately, have little contact with Scouting today.
With best regards.

Great website and lots of information on your lodge and section over the years. I am trying to compile a list of the history of the 11 C conclaves to include the conclave site, host lodge and member lodges of that secton for each year of its existance (1952 - 1972). I lack only the last 30% (the hardest of course). Can any one help me ?? I will share information of course.

One of the great experiences of my life was being a part of the Wa-La-Moot-Kin Lodge in 1968 to 1970. If you were part of the Camp Staff at Wallowa in those years, drop me a line.
