Fall ordeal
Directions: The fall Ordeal Friday night overnight location is a bit more than 13 miles from Hood Park along Hwy 124 on the left as you top a long hill. Highway 124 begins at the traffic light just east of the Highway 12 Bridge over the Snake River. Look for the OA arrow-head signs for the final turn-off. Turn left onto a dirt road and follow it until you reach a small building just past a grove of trees. We will park and assemble there. If you reach Milepost 14 or a highway sign with miles to Prescott and Waitsburg you have missed the turn.
Candidates should be at the Burbank site by 8 pm. All others get there by 7 pm or earlier to get ready for the ceremonies. Rides are needed to ferry everyone back to the Scout Center on Saturday morning. We will be leaving at 6:30 am. The Saturday event will be over by 7:30-8 pm. All attendees are expected to attend the Lodge Executive Committee meeting at 6:30 pm.
A usual the candidates should be prepared to spend the night under the stars. Dress in work clothes, everyone will change into Scout uniforms for the induction ceremonies and banquet. Call the Lodge Adviser, Pete Gibbons, with any questions at 509-539-3184.
